Regina...

Ah.... Regina, my favorite creation in villains. Evil, beautiful, and sinister. I had wanted to draw her for the longest time, but never could find a way to her into a drawing...until recently. I give you Sister Regina, Leader of the Sister's of Dark.

She first appeared in my game right from the beginning posing as a holy Sister of Light searching for young wizards to train. She meet young Joren as he was coming into his gift. Once he accepted the truth that he was a wizard, Joren and also Vloro traveled with her to the legendary Halsband Island where the Palace of Prophets stand. Joren went to study as a wizard and Vloro went to become part of the prestigious Palace Wardens. Unbeknownst to either, Regina had other plans for the both of them. With a wizard under her control and a Warden to command, she had thought to take control of the Palace for herself and free the Keeper from the underworld. Luckly, for our two heros they made an ally in one Sister, Nyda Amnell, and escaped Regina's plans. And ever since Regina has always been at their heels nipping here, biting there.

Later, after Vloro became aware of his true parentage, he also discovered that Regina was working with the man revealed to be his father, Seren Rahl. She is also responsible for the kiddnapping of Vloro's daughter, Cara and corrupting her to become a weapon of evil against her own father. Regina will do anything to get her way, even going so far as to using a forbidding ancient form of magic known as the Maternity Spell.

These are just a few samplings of the evil that surrounds Regina. As to where she came from, or how she came to be evil is unknown.......for now

Hey! It's Vigo!

As promised, here is the next picture and story of another Character from my game.

Vigo de Dackevich, Lord of Aydindrill & Heir of Ithyll. Now, sadly this character recently died in my game and I was sad to see him go. Vigo is played by another friend of mine by the name of Trent. Last year, Trent was introduced into the world of D&D through GamerD's game. 90% of Trent's game time was spent having his characters killed and having to create new ones all the time! This year, when I started mine up, I invited him to play and hence the legend of Vigo was born!

Vigo hails from the small town of Dackevich name after his family line. He was sent away from his town so that his cousin would take over the inheritance. He had heard stories of the great Seeker and Lord of D'Hara, Vloro Shoggoth Rahl and was inspired by his humble beginnings as a ranger and warden. So Vigo set out and wandered the lands until he accidently crossed into territory he wasn't supposed to. he crossed into the restricted forests of Tanimurra were the Tower of the Mord-Sith dwell. The Mord-Sith happen to be elite and ruthless body guards to non-other than the Lord of D'Hara, who happen to be Vloro! After some torture, explanation, and intervention from Lord Rahl himself, Vigo finally got to meet the man who inspired him..... oh, and his super-hot daughter freshly returned from the Void and legal, Cara Rahl.

Trying impress her, "bringing the horses back....", and beating her best friend, almost boyfriend out of the running, Vigo won the girl of his dreams. Vigo is known to occasionally hit stupid children, call people "dumb bitch," among other colorful choice words. He also can be heard saying, "I got this." to the rest of the party when a problem arises. An all around fun guy, kinda on the stubborn side, Vigo was fun to have around.

Another Long-Overdue Update....

Hey folk! (however many of you there are)

It has been quite a long time since I've added new pictures. Just so ya know, I have a TON of new stuff I'll start posting here. My artwork has improved during the long absence. I have a bunch of new characters to post. I still play D&D only now I'm in the DM seat. I am an avid reader of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series (I can't stand the TV show unfortunately) and last summer I start a D20 game based on the series. It's set in a slightly alternate universe from the actual books and takes place thousands of years before the events of the books. I done a lot of experimenting with ideas and elements from the books to fit in a 3.5 D20 realm. This summer I started the game back up with some new players along with GamerD.

Anyways, from the game came some new artwork. I thought I would share a new character each post and also give their background story. First off, Let me introduce the main character of the game, Lord Vloro Shoggoth Rahl.

This character was created and is played by Josh (GamerD). Vloro was one of two original characters from the game last year. Since GamerD is the one who created, he could divulge into his character a little better. Because of Vloro, much has happened in his world. He sent his 12yr. daughter, Cara into a place called the Void and a month later she returned from two other realms of existence where time functions differently returning her back to her world at the age of 20. Vloro is also responsible for disrupting time by wanting to find a way to bring his wife, Nyda back to life. Instead he pulled another alternate version of her from another timeline disrupting history itself. He accelerated a magical plague by pouring a large amount of black sorcerer's sand into a box filled with white sorcerer's sand. uh..... let's see .......yeah I'm sure there's more but for now we'll leave it at that! Vloro is a great guy, good father, loving husband......just doesn't consider long-term effects of decisions.

Hope you enjoy the new series of artwork!

Lots of art update!

Wow... it's been quite a while since I've updated anything here. I have lots of new drawings that I've worked on. Work, school, plays, and D&D have taken up most of my time.

Let's see ......
My brother-in-law, Josh (aka GamerD) runs his own D&D game now. I drew my character for that game. Her name is Nicce Apate Davalos, CE Cleric of Cyric. I love playing evil now....

And I'm sad to say that my other character in my friend Tyler's game, Veylyn that I drew previously has met her end. Now I play a CE Drow Cleric of Loth named Shota.

Here:

After these two drawings I decided to do a series of special drawings of myself, my husband Adam, and of course GamerD. I think they turned out nicely!

Adam:

Myself:

....And GamerD!

And the whole Derby clan!!!!

After that project, it took me a while to come up with a new drawing. After a while, I started thinking about some of my favorite female villains from comic books and stuff. And I have to be honest, this one really is my favorite! Harley Quinn from DC's Batman. I loved her in the animated series and I absolutely loved in the the Arkham Asylum game. This one, I actually just finished before posting this.

Well, there ya are folks! That's the update for now, stay posted for more upcoming projects!

New work!

So, if you have been following GamerD's blog, you'll know that we have been playing D&D. It's pretty addicting I'll admit, I always used to make fun of D&D groups in high school and now look at me today. You've already seen the drawing I did my character, Veylen, now I have another character I am working on. My husband Adam plays a kender named Patches. (Keep following GamerD to find out the mischief he gets into) So, coming soon is my rendition of Patches O'Houlinhan the Kender!

ReMastered

Okay.... I was really unhappy about my original D&D character picture. For a reminder here:

It was just to soft and far from how I usually draw my stuff. So I went back to the sketch pad. I like this new one so much better...... I actually, went back to one of my old pieces and redrew her in a new outfit and made a couple changes. Here is that original:

.... and now, introducing the new Veylen!:

Another Sister...

So this new picture is done for my other sister Jenn, the fashion/shopaholic. This picture took my an est. of about 9-10 hours total, one of the more time consuming pieces I've done. She is drawn with her dog, Lola, who only took me an hour or two to completely finish. I also added Jenn's purse, which is some designer brand (I don't keep up with designers)! Hope you enjoy the new work!
